Dandelion & Sage had a logo and font but didn’t have a website. They needed help with designing and developing one.
About My Client
Dandelion & Sage is owned by Carol Shoji who provides horticultural therapy to customers. Horticultural therapy is known as a formal practice that uses plants, horticultural activities and the garden landscapes to promote well being.
My Contributions
I designed and developed the website. I made a colour palette, wireframe, and mockup. I developed the website with Html, Css, and Javascript.
Colour Palette
Dandelion & Sage has an elegant style and warm welcoming characteristic at the same time. I chose yellow to describe the warm cheerful feeling matching the logo.Different shades of green to go with nature and plants. Purple was selected as the main colour to show the stylishness and elegance.
Wireframe
Sometimes there are differences between a site’s wireframe and mockup but for this project, there were minimal changes between the two.

Final UI
Next I moved on to creating the overall look of the website.I used the colour palette and images to guide people. I chose yellow for the site’s call to action colour because it compliments the softer greens in my colour palette. Not only are the greens but also yellow and purple are found in nature. Yellow is the warm colour that attracts attention that reminds people sunlights, making it a great choice for call to action.
My Client’s business horticultural therapy is not commonly well known yet. I wanted the users to read and know what the therapy is about and understand how beneficial it can be to our lives. To make this concept simple to understand, I created a purple strip to capture the attention of the viewer. Within the strip a quote is displayed, so that users will read the quote first and be interested to go through the content below.
